Climbing the mountain of failure!

Climbing the mountain of failure!

So what does it mean to climb the mountain of failure?  Successful people do not become a success over night.  Just as with anything in life, when we strive to reach a goal and there are bound to be set backs.  Everyone who has achieved success has failed at some point but the key here is not to quit.  Never surrender your dreams or ambitions.  Many successful people keep a log or journal to track their journey to success.  With this they can keep track of what works and what does not work when achieving goals.  I have my own called my "Mystic Book of Knowledge".  I jot down my thoughts and things that I may tend to forget.  I would like to share some of these with you now.

Written in the "Mystic Book of Knowledge"
  • To achieve a goal one must act upon it.  In essence meaning that having a goal isn't enough.  You must be willing to do what it takes to reach your goal.
  • One cannot expect a different result without changing the strategy.  If you continue to do the same things everyday, you will always end up with the same results.  If you'd like to make a change in your life then you need to change how you live.
  • To seek is to discover - To discover is to take - To take is to control - To control is your future - Your future is yours for the taking.  I believe that I meant to say that through constant search we discover that we need to take control of our lives to have a successful future.
I have climbed that mountain of failure and found that there are various paths to take.  Some are more difficult then others but the rewards for reaching the top are phenomenal.  Don't let the size of the mountain overwhelm you, it can be conquered and you will reach the top.  Just as the Who's in Whoville knew that the Grinch couldn't steal the spirit of Christmas, you should know that failure cannot steal your desire to succeed.  The closer you get to the top of that mountain, the smaller the mountain will seem.  The best advice that I can share with you now is something that has been passed on to me by other successful people.  Live as though you have already made it.  Keep in the presence of successful people and success will follow you.  Avoid the negative, I know this is a hard one to accomplish with all the negativity in the world.  An example would be what Walt Disney World does with their weather, instead of saying there is a 60% chance of rain, they will tell you that there is a 40% chance of sunshine.  Now that is a small percentage but it is still making you look towards the brighter side of things.  So keep climbing the mountain of failure because success is at the summit!
