Do you believe in miracles?

Tis the season of great hope and happiness, love and compassion, toss in a miracle and you have a Christmas blessing.  Hopefully everyone had good tidings this holiday season and have not been pinned down with financial burdens or other distresses.  Depression is a big concern for this time of the year but I'd like to spread some sunshine with a story that contains a miracle that saves a family from losing everything.
To start with this is an average family that struggles to make ends meet but have been able to cope and surpass many challenges until now.  They had an opportunity to move from an area that was holding them back and suppressing the needs of their children.  So taking all of their savings they packed up and relocated to a lovely part of the country.  The people there are warm and friendly.  Very welcoming, very homey and tranquil.  The surroundings are breathtaking and peaceful.  A place they are proud to call home.
Unfortunately the position that the father had taken was in an industry that was about to take a turn for the worst.  The financial crisis in America was now going to impact this families dream and turn it into a nightmare.  Seeing the writing on the wall the father started looking for an alternative to keep the new found joy a reality.  He maneuvered funds, sold things off and did odd jobs to make ends meet.  He seemed to pull it off for a few years but bills and unexpected expenses started to snowball.  The day after Christmas the news was grim for this families future.  They were about to lose everything.  Their home, car and worldly possessions all a string away from being lost.  Being already a payment or so behind on about everything, the future looked very bleak.  They only needed to hold out until February when the tax return would catch everything back up.  This would give them breathing room until November when the final car payment would be made and bring a whole new world of financial freedom to them.
The father was not a very religious man but he prayed hard for a miracle to save their house.  Could bankruptcy be the answer?  Was there something else he could quickly sell to come up with the needed funds?  He had been selling things online, working affiliate programs but nothing was paying off.  He had no one to borrow from and extra work would bring the money in too slowly.  All seemed lost and constant worry was starting to take its toll on his health.  It wasn't much and he hated to do it but he had gotten a reasonable offer on one of his vehicles.  It was better to give up a luxury that could be bought again then then to lose a house of a lifetime.  So he parted ways with something they had cherished for years and were able to save his job and the house.  They were still behind on the one car payment but could fix that come February.  Until then he made a focused effort in getting rid of the so many items that he had collected for the soul purpose of reselling.  Listing as much as he could on eBay helped him make ends meet.
Now this story isn't over because February hasn't come yet and that fateful day of paying off a major debt is still 11 months away but because of faith and persistence the future looks a lot brighter.  I will follow up on their progress but thought this may be an inspiration to those that are experiencing some trouble in their lives.  Don't give up and don't give in to despair.

Have a Happy Holiday!
